These particular images were taken with my Canon 5d Mark iii, Canon 50mm f/1.2. I new I wanted these in B&W and was so pleased with how the Ilford B&W Presets came through! I ended up using Pan-F and just loved the rich tones. All I can say is those big, beautiful eyes and contagious smile would make anyone’s heart melt! I photographed Connor indoors with some beautiful window light. Now on to the nitty gritty… I had the privilege of photographing my friend’s adorable 5 month old the other day. (I know I am definitely getting the bug to start shooting film again!) So having a workflow that allows you to accurately match your images is priceless. I have been over the moon working with all three of their film preset packs: Fuji Pro Color Film Pack, Ilford B&W Film Pack and Portra Color Film Pack. Through this amazing journey of learning how to edit my images using Lightroom and Photoshop, I still felt my work was lacking some of the authenticity I craved using film… until I came across Mastin Labs. Yes, my first digital camera was an Olympus with an over the top resolution of 2.0 megapixels! (And by the way… it wasn’t cheap!) Although my journey into photography began with film, it was not long after, digital photography became accessible to the general public. Mastin Labs Presets are made by film photographers and are designed for accuracy. I just had to share some recent photos I edited using Mastin Labs’ Ilford B&W Film Pack.
